Music IS life.
I honestly believe that I wouldn't survive without music. In high school and college I was involved with concert choir, chamber choir, mixed chamber choir, several different singing contests, concert band, jazz band, pep band, marching band, I was in the Iowa All-State Choir my senior year, and I traveled Europe with the Iowa Ambassadors of Music when I was 16. I've been in musicals such as the Sound of Music, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Annie Get Your Gun, Grease, Brigadoon, Little Shop of Horrors, and Big River. Every time I think of a treasured moment in my life, it's because a song came on and reminded me of it. I've had music playing for the background to my Barbie dramas and now I have it in the background when I take pictures, do nails, read, or as inspiration for my canvas. I'm going to school for music education, I just hope I have a job when I get done. Music in our schools is dieing, whether we like it or not. I don't go blaming people, but there are so many things that music has to offer and no one seems to stand up for it. One day, I hope to create an organization that helps with this problem. Even if it means I have to take all the knowledge I have about singing and start night classes for kids to have the opportunity, I would do it. But for now, I just sing with all my heart and let it take me where it wants me to go. My youtube channel is the link below, give me whatever criticism you have, I can handle it! New videos will be put up every Sunday. The video below was made a long time ago, forgive me. I will put up a new one as soon as possible!
